I think it's just a display error. A friend of mine had that too when he used d'dossy. It was gone and nowhere to be found. Besides, he only saw mine as a white cube.

Go to your DATA folder, delete any extra patch6.mpq, patch7.mpq, etc. (keep only patch.mpq through patch5.mpq), and delete the WBD folder.
Than re-update via the OctoLauncher.

No problem
You can also get the Dossy with other characters, not just via the post. It's waiting in the respective starter areas, for example, with the undead in the spider caves.
